Theme for August: Farmers Market Fun!
August at The Caring Place is bursting with the sights, smells, and tastes of the Farmers Market! This month, our activities will center around delicious food, community spirit, and plenty of creative fun. We are inviting families to join in the spirit of the month.
Special Activities This Month:

Craft Projects – From fruit and veggie prints to farmers market signage, our participants will create colorful Crafts to brighten the walls.

Recipe Sharing & Cookbook Creation – We’ll gather favorite family recipes and memories to make a special personal Cookbook.

Fresh Vegetable Tastings – Each week will feature fresh-from-the-garden veggies to sample and enjoy.

Snack Creations – Participants will help prepare simple, healthy snacks inspired by seasonal produce.

Live Music & Musical Guests – We’re excited to welcome special musical visitors to lift our spirits and get us dancing!

Seeking Local Talent to Bring Joy Through Music The Caring Place - Enriching Lives with Heartfelt Moments
We are looking for local musicians, singers, and performers who are interested in sharing their talents with our amazing participants living with Alzheimer's and dementia.
Why music?
Music is a powerful, proven tool that helps spark memories, improve mood, and bring meaningful joy to our participants. Whether it's soft guitar, familiar oldies, gentle piano, or sing-alongs – our group responds beautifully to live entertainment.
Who we're looking for:

Solo performers or small groups

Acoustic-style or low-volume music

Daytime availability preferred (weekday mornings/early afternoons)

Most of all: kind, patient, and passionate individuals!
