Providing Hope, Dignity, and Support for Families Living with Dementia

The Caring Place is a nonprofit adult day respite program serving individuals living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia in Hot Springs and the surrounding communities.

Our mission is to improve quality of life for participants while providing caregivers with the support, encouragement, and respite they need.

Through meaningful activities, social engagement, music, exercise, nutritious meals, and compassionate care, we create a safe and welcoming environment where individuals can thrive.

For more than three decades, The Caring Place has helped families remain together longer by offering specialized dementia care in a setting that promotes dignity, purpose, and connection.

Our Story

The Caring Place was founded in 1992 by a group of caring community members who recognized a growing need for support for families affected by Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.

What began as a small community effort has grown into a trusted resource for families throughout Garland County and beyond. While much has changed over the years, our purpose remains the same: to provide compassionate care for individuals living with dementia and meaningful support for those who love them.

Today, our Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners continue to carry forward that mission—creating a place where every person is valued, every caregiver is supported, and every day brings opportunities for comfort, joy, and connection.
